5 Tips For Your Wedding Day
Updated: Jan 13
A few tips for you to think about on your wedding day from a Photographer and Videographers perspective.

1. Eat a good breakfast and drink plenty of water throughout the day.
It's important to ensure you're well-nourished and hydrated. Eating a nutritious breakfast and drinking plenty of water throughout the day will help to keep you energized and focused. Here are some ideas for a healthy breakfast that will give you the perfect start to your wedding day: oatmeal with fresh fruit, scrambled eggs with vegetables, or a smoothie bowl with your favorite fruits and veggies. From the moment you wake to the moment you actually walk down that aisle is a long period of time to go without nourishment.
2. Don’t forget to pack breath mints and tissues for any unexpected moments.
It's always a great idea to pack breath mints and tissues - they are sure to come in handy! Not only are breath mints great for freshening up your breath, but tissues are perfect for happy tears of joy. It's such an important day and it's nice to be prepared for anything. Most brides and grooms will do first looks or touches and someone is bound to need those tissues. It is an emotional day for some people and so it is better to be prepared than wiping tears on a fresh outfit or smearing that fresh makeup!
3. Don’t stress about the small details and let go of perfection - your day will still be beautiful.
You don't want your wedding day to be remembered for minor mishaps that could have been avoided if you had been too focused on perfection. It's better to look back on your wedding day with fond memories of the celebration. It's important to remember that your wedding day is just one day. Even if something doesn't go as planned, it's not the end of the world. Focus on the positive aspects of your wedding, and know that your guests will be more concerned with the overall experience than any minor imperfections. Listen... not EVERYTHING is going to be on time or go as planned. We have had things on time and we have seen massive cuts in the timeline. I have to remind the couple that is THEIR day. Not anyone else's. The timeline is a rough draft of how things are laid out, not a military structured document. There's room for changes and you should allow yourself to adjust accordingly. This is why it is handy to have a patient and good coordinator because they will help manage any changes.
4. Make sure to enjoy the day and take time to appreciate all the special moments.
Your wedding day is a special occasion that you will remember for the rest of your life. Taking the time to enjoy the special moments on your wedding day is essential, as it will help make the day more memorable. From the moment you start getting ready to the moment you make your vows, each moment is unique and should be savored. It can be easy to get caught up in the stress of the day, but making sure to pause and appreciate the moment can help you create lasting memories that you will cherish for years to come. Although it sounds difficult because there are going to be so many memories and moments that happen... it is okay to just let the Photographers and Videographers to remind you of the small moments you might have missed. We are often thanked for the work because the couple gets caught up in so much that they miss the small things.
5. Take time to connect with your partner and remind each other why you are getting married.
Taking time to connect with your partner on your wedding day will help remind you of the strong connection you have and the love that you share together. Taking time to connect will help you both relax, de-stress, and get through any pre-wedding jitters. It’s a great way to reflect on the journey you’ve taken together to get to your wedding day and why you’re committing to the next step in your relationship. Often times we see that the couple gets wrapped up in the timeline and people pleasing, that they forget to take moments to get away and breathe together. They forget to stop "performing" for everyone and to realize what the whole day is about, who the day is about.
